Sunday Adult Discipleship Classes

SmallGroup.jpgChristians, by definition, are disciples of Jesus. So we seek to structure ourselves to provide opportunities to follow him more fully and faithfully. Multiple adult classes are offered on Sunday evenings during our children's clubs program and youth group time from 6:00 to 7:30. Childcare is provided for infants and toddlers during Sunday evenings.

Spiritual Life Groups

Spiritual Life Groups are designed to emphasize the interaction of Christians with one another in teaching one another, encouraging one another, correcting one another, serving one another and praying for one another. Three basic type of these groups exist at CVC:

Home Fellowship Groups - These groups typically meet weekly or biweekly in area homes. They are listed in detail below.

Men's and Women's study groups - Tuesday morning Women's Bible Study, Wednesday morning Moms group, and the a men's groups that meets on the 2nd Friday of every month. Overall, our Women's Ministries and Men's Ministries are also very active, each providing spiritual growth opportunities, fellowship and recreational opportunities, and yearly retreats.

Discipleship Partner Groups - They are same-gender groups of 3 individuals who meet regularly to reflect on a portion of scripture together, ask one another various prescribed discipleship-oriented questions, and pray for one another.

Prayer is a strong emphasis of our church and our Prayer Team stimulates the church to this end. Most notably are our Monthly Church Prayer Meetings at 7:00 pm on the first Monday night of the month, a Men's Prayer Group on Thursday mornings, and a pre-service Sunday Prayer gathering from 9:45 to 9:55. Individual counseling services, leadership equipping, a well-stocked book and video library, and a monthly newsletter called "The Connection" round out our discipleship strategies.
