Sunday Morning Worship
From 10:00 to 11:30 our goal is worship - to behold God's revelation of himself and his will, and to respond in humility and love to it. Worship is seeing and responding to God. This response may involve praise, thanksgiving or adoration. It may involve confession of sin and repentance. It may involve obedience and commitment and affirmation of our faith. Or it may be the simple cry of our hearts to the One who loves us and upon whom we depend for physical and spiritual life.
Our music seeks to reflect both the freshness of contemporary musical forms as well as the time-honored classics of the past. But regardless of the style we use, it is the offering of our minds and hearts as we sing these songs that is most important. Whether in quiet meditation, or enthusiastic hand-clapping praise, we pursue a love-encounter with God Almighty.
We believe preaching is the proclamation of God's Word, founded on the Bible. It is his Word that changes minds and hearts, and it's his Word that makes sense of our daily emotions, struggles and pain. Ultimately our preaching seeks to help each person encounter God in the midst of our culture, families, jobs and daily lives, so that we can live joy-filled lives in the kingdom of Christ.
We supplement these worship forms with an open congregational sharing time of God's activity among us, with financial offerings, monthly observance of the Lord's Supper (or "Communion"), child dedications, and baptisms by immersion upon profession of repentance and trust in Jesus.
